The club was formed in 1879 and were previously known as ‘Fulham St Andrews Church Sunday School’ before shorting their name in 1888.
Fulham have enjoyed two long spells in the top flight of England. The first came during the majority of the 1960’s. The club fell all the way down the ladder of English football to the bottom tier, before climbing all the way back up to the top and have been in the Premier League for 11 consecutive years.
The club have never won any major silverware, losing an FA Cup final in 1975 as well as the Europa League final under Roy Hodgson in 2010.
Fulham are currently the oldest established London club to be plying their trade in the Premier League.
