Commonly known as Spurs, the club was founded in 1882 and are one of only six sides to have played in every year of the Premier League.
The club’s greatest period came in the 1960’s when they created a lot of firsts in English and British football.
In 1961 they became the first English in the 20th century to win the domestic double (League and F.A Cup), whilst in 1963 became the first British side to win a European honour when the won the European Cup Winners Cup.
Tottenham have only ever won the First Division title twice (1950/51 and 1960/61), however have enjoyed more success with the F.A Cup, winning it eight times. Spurs are the only side ever to win the F.A Cup as a non-league side, which they did in 1901.
Mauricio Pochettino guided Tottenham to second last season in a record breaking campaign for the club.
