Manchester United midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan has vowed to proved himself at the club, despite a poor start to his Old Trafford career.
Manager Jose Mourinho has been critical of Mkhitaryan, claiming he needs to do more when given a chance, also claiming he is yet to adjust to English football.
Many thought United got a real bargain when they completed a £26.7million move for the Armenian international in the summer, however chances have been limited this term.
Mkhitaryan’s frustration at the lack of game-time is clear, as is his determination to prove his worth in the Premier League.
“It is true that I get little time on the field, but I am not going to give in,” he told reporters after being appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF in Armenia.
“I went a long way to play in Manchester United, so nothing will prevent me from achieving my dream.
“I will not retreat, I will find the strength to reach my goal.”
