Manchester United vs. Leicester City: Premier League – Match Preview

Manchester United will look to extend their perfect start to the season when they host Leicester City in Saturday’s evening kick-off.

United thrashed Swansea 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium last weekend, with Eric Bailly opening the scoring for the visitors.

Three goals in a four minute spell from Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial secured a comfortable win.

Leicester City earned their first win of the season as they eased past newly promoted Brighton.

Shinji Okazaki opened the scoring inside of a minute, with Harry Maguire making it two after the break.

Team news
Manchester United are likely to name the same starting XI for a third Premier League match in a row.

Martial has made a superb impact off the bench in both fixtures, but is likely to remain among the substitutes.

Wes Morgan and Jamie Vardy are both doubts here having missed the mid-week EFL Cup fixture through injuries.

Craig Shakespeare appeared confident that both would be fit though, however Ben Chilwell and Islam Slimani are in line should either fail to recover.

Expected starting XI’s
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Bailly, Blind; Matic, Pogba; Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford; Lukaku
Leicester City (4-4-2): Schmeichel; Simpson, Maguire, Morgan, Fuchs; Mahrez, Ndidi, James, Albrighton; Okazaki, Vardy
