Arsenal vs. Chelsea: Community Shield – Match Preview

Arsenal and Chelsea meet in the 2017/18 curtain raiser on Sunday in the Community Shield.

Arsenal have thus far managed to keep a hold of Alexis Sanchez, however there remain big doubts about his future.

Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac have arrived as they attempt to return to the Champions League, having finished fifth last season.

Chelsea’s biggest sale so far so Nemanja Matic leave for rivals Manchester United and Diego Costa appears on the verge of an exit.

They have made three summer signings so far, with Antonio Rudiger joining from Roma, Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco and Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

Team news
Laurent Koscielny is available to feature here, despite the fact he will miss the first two league games through suspension.

Both of the new recruits are set to start, however Sanchez and Shkodran Mustafi are unlikely to do so, having returned late from the Confederations Cup.

Pedro and Eden Hazard will miss the fixture through their respective injuries.

Morata could start behind Michy Batshuayi here in a side that heavily resembles the team from last year.

Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Courtois; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Fabregas, Kante, Alonso; Willian, Morata; Batshuayi
